The 3rd International Day of Yoga 2017 was celebrated with enthusiasm at Eastern Naval Command (ENC) in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. Vice Admiral HCS Bisht, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command joined the personnel of the Command at Yoga Session held at Naval Dockyard. About 5000 Indian Navy family took part in Yoga sessions and exhibited various asanas. In addition to it, personnel onboard ENC ships deployed at sea also practiced yoga this morning to mark the International Day of Yoga.
During the Yoga Session, Naval personnel were introduced to various Asanas, Pranayams, conditioning practices and breathing exercises. The participants benefited from the discourses on the virtues of Yoga, its integration into daily life to suit modern sociological needs and lifestyles for sustained good health and stress free life. The event was conducted by following the protocol promulgated by Ministry of Ayush, Government of India.
