India won the second match with superb performance from Yuvaraj Singh and M S Dhoni with the tons and spectacular bowling from Ravichandra Aswin in a crusial time. England won the toss and chosen to field frist. The opening batsmen were very early to return to pavilion and India lost 3 wickets just for 25 runs with Dhawan, Rahul and the captain Virat back in the pavilion. At this stage India’s greatest players Yuvaraj and M S Dhoni saved the game and started off very slowly in the beginning and as time goes on they came with thunders of boundaries and sixes to put the India in a safe position. Yuvaraj who returned to game after long gap has played superb innings with his natural style as he always does against England and made 150 from 127 balls. and Dhoni showed his mark innings and finally ended it by scoring 134 from 122 balls. with the final overs scintillating batting from Jadeja and Pandya India put up 381 with the loss of 6 wickets.
England would have been hoping for a target far less demanding when Woakes got rid of Kohli, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan with his best bowling so far in this series.
England has put off a strong fight against India’s mammoth total of 381 after loosing an early wicket but with a good partner ship for the second wicket. As Eoin Morgan responded with one of the great innings by a batsman in England colours, The finals overs were became little tense as the England players kept a tight fight and came very closely with the well batting performance from Roy, Ali and Root which made England to reach 366 for loss of 8 wickets at the end of 50th over. What a superb match from both teams. 747 runs, three outstanding individual hundreds.
